Take it from Decatur’s own Eagle Eye Book Shop, who celebrates its 8th Anniversary on April 30th, 2011. With a combination of passion, dedication, quality, and a sense of community, anything is possible! That's the driving force behind this Renown client.
Eagle Eye was opened in May of 2003 when another bookstore at the same location decided to close. Owners Doug and Diane Robinson say they “felt the Emory/Druid Hills/Decatur area needed a quality, value priced bookstore, which also offered new releases, bestsellers and used books,” and with that, Eagle Eye Book Shop was born.
Eagle Eye’s mission is to offer a wide selection of quality books that reflect the needs and tastes of neighborhood customers, all at discounted prices. Specializing in Fiction, Suspense, Thrillers, History, Biographies, Art, Architecture, Theology, Gardening, and Cookbook titles, Eagle Eye is home to over a mile of books. Since it’s opening, Eagle Eye has been a staple in the Emory/Druid Hills/Decatur community, and the go-to place for new releases, author events, book signings and book releases. In addition, Eagle Eye Book Shop is the official bookseller for many metro Atlanta literary events and is active in the book club community by partnering with organizations such as the Atlanta Writers Club and Georgia Center for the Book; and events like The Decatur Book Festival, Gwinnett Fall into the Arts and The Southeastern Flower Show.
Voted Atlanta’s Best Indie Bookstore 2009 by Atlanta Magazine and Atlanta’s Best Bookstore 2010 by Creative Loafing, Eagle Eye Book Shop is another example of a small business soaring above the challenges of today’s economy. Eight years later, they are still going strong...and it shows!
The Anniversary Celebration will kick off with the release of Heywood Gould’s newest novel, The Serial Killer's Daughter, followed by refreshments, Birthday treats and week-long store specials.
